Description

DHCP Server

DHCP server can be activated as required to configure clients automatically. This will allocate a unique IP to each client machine and set network settings correctly. Custom DHCP options are available for configuration.

DNS Server

The on-board name server caches outbound DNS requests to speed up name lookups and provides friendly names for the NetBoxes internal interface (e.g. www.netbox). By default the DNS server perform root level lookups.

Proxy Server

The onboard proxy server caches frequently used HTTP and FTP objects to speed up general Internet usage. This, by default, runs transparently, requiring no additional client configuration to gain the benefits of a caching proxy server. A transparent POP3 Proxy can also be configured.

PAT/NAPT/Port Forwarding

Externally accessible ports on the NetBox may be forwarded to internal network hosts as required.
