|
Email Gateway |
SMTP gateway capability for multiple domains. Provides increased security and reliability for SMTP delivery to internal mail servers. Removes 90% processing load from back end mail servers. |
|
SMTP AUTH |
Allows for authenticated relaying of SMTP traffic. Useful for road warriors to use the NetBox as a Mail Server when on the road without having to pre-configure VPN connection. |
|
SMTP over TLS |
The NetBox always attempts to relay mail via SMTP over TLS in the first instance. This provides encrypted relaying of SMTP traffic between mail servers. Auto fall back to plain SMTP if the remote server doesn't provide TLS support. |
|
Remote POP3 retrieval |
User accounts on the NetBox can be configured to periodically poll external POP3 accounts and store locally on the NetBox under a single mail box for retrieval. Useful if users have multiple external POP3 account and still want to leverage the SPAM and AV capabilities of the NetBox. The NetBox contains a transparent POP3 proxy server. |

SMTP Boundary Redirection (SBR) |
Filters outbound SMTP connections transparently to ensure no internal host becomes compromised as a zombie host. This also enforces corporate compliance rules through the embedded Content Compliance Engine. |
|
Content Compliance Engine |
With SBR enabled all outbound SMTP traffic is scanned by the NetBox to provide the ability to enforce corporate policies to all outbound SMTP traffic. Virtually unlimited in the rules that can be created to match a particular piece of email and then create actions around what to do with the email. |

Security |
Anti-spamming configuration to prevent unauthorised use of the NetBox as a spam mail relay. 95% of SPAM blocked at the SMTP layer before the DATA command rejecting illegitimate email before it is downloaded hence reducing bandwidth consumption and contention with other protocols. Multi-layer approach to anti-virus with five embedded engines and CLAM-AV being enabled by default. |
|
Rate limiting |
Automated rate-limiting ensure large amounts of SMTP traffic doesn't flood the WAN link. |
|
Smart Host |
Upstream mail relay configuration for relaying all outbound mail through a public mail server. Typically for relaying mail through an ISP provided SMTP service. |
