Cyber bullies are set to have the plug pulled on their pranks with the introduction of new software that blocks virtual assaults.

A spike in cyber bullying had prompted calls for software firm Netbox Blue to add the feature to its internet program already being used by many private schools, chairman John Fison told AAP.
