Australian internet and email security and management solutions provider Netbox Blue has opened an office in Taipei as the company continues its strong performance in Asia.
The office will be headed by Regional Partner Manager for Asia Ben Yu, who joins the company from the Queensland Trade and Investment Office in Taipei.
"We have an immense range of opportunities in Asia," Netbox Blue Chairman John Fison says. "It's perfect timing for us to open an office and Ben Yu is a great person to lead our operations in the region. We are delighted to have him on board."
Mr Yu will be responsible for identifying potential partners and managing our relationships with existing partners in the region.
Netbox Blue is currently supplying email filtering appliances to Canon ITS Japan, in a multi million dollar Master Distribution Agreement, signed earlier this year. Canon ITS and Netbox Blue are also working together in China to forge a similar agreement there.
"It's a very exciting time for us. We have other opportunities across the region and we are currently working on distribution agreements in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, India and other countries, so the time is right for us to demonstrate our commitment to the region."
Netbox Blue has a major advantage in dealing with the Asian region compared to its main competitors who are mainly based on the west coast of the United States. Netbox Blue has easy access to the region, works in the same time zone and already has a presence in many of the countries it is targeting. Netbox Blue's distribution deal with Canon also provides reassurance to partners that the company has the ability to deliver on its promises and work across language and cultural barriers.
